What My Own Radar Does



	MyOwnRadar displays the location, movement and intensity of all forms of precipitation from snow flurries to large hail.

	MyOwnRadar estimates the amount of rainfall that has occurred during the past one hour, three hours, or for the entire duration of a precipitation event which can highlight areas threatened with imminent flash flooding.

		Identifies every significant storm in the area and plots a forecast projection line centered on the core of the storm extending outward to where the storm will be in one hour.

	Identifies hail shafts within thunderstorms with special icons positioned where the hail is falling and displays the estimated size of the hail ranging from peas to larger than grapefruits.

		Alerts the user with special icons when rotating winds have been detected within the storm clouds.

	Alerts the user with special icons when any rotation has achieved a critical speed and size that could signal the imminent development of or the ongoing presence of a tornado.

		Displays dynamic severe weather warnings that change shape and orientation as they follow the changes in speed and direction of any severe storm in the coverage area.

	Differentiates between and uniquely displays the four types of precipitation: rain, sleet, freezing rain, and snow and any combination thereof.

	Displays all of the above radar products precisley positioned using latitude/longitude coordinates on top of high resolution topographic maps and their associated geographical information.
